Use Visit Context for one visit

Add one-time background information to a visit without changing future notes.

Use Context (optional) for information or instructions that apply only to the current encounter. Use Custom Instructions for a preference that should persist.

Add Context

  1. Open or start the visit.

  2. Find Context (optional).

  3. Add concise, relevant background or one-time direction.

  4. Save the Context.

  5. Record at least about 30 seconds of clear clinical audio, then generate the note.

Good uses

  • the purpose of this encounter

  • a relevant fact that may not be spoken clearly

  • a one-time formatting request

  • a specific prior result needed to understand the discussion

Context does not replace the visit

Context supplements the audio; it is not a text-only note generator. Keep it factual and relevant, and review whether the generated note used it correctly.

Use another feature when

  • Custom Instructions are better for a recurring preference.

  • A custom template is better for different headings or section order.

  • Magic Edit is better for changing one section after generation.
