My note is stuck or missing

Choose the right action for a visit that is recording, uploading, transcribing, generating, blank, or missing.

Do not force-close Skriber, clear app data, reset the app, or uninstall it while a recording or upload may still exist on the device.

The visit is still recording

Return to the active visit. Confirm the timer is moving. Use Pause and Continue Recording if needed, then choose End Visit once. Do not start a duplicate visit unless support confirms the original cannot continue.

The visit is uploading

Keep Skriber available and connected. Return to stable Wi-Fi or cellular service and let progress continue. On mobile, do not force-close the app. On desktop, do not close the Chrome tab.

The visit is transcribing or generating

Keep the visit in your list and wait while the state is changing. A long visit can take longer. If the status stops changing, refresh once only after upload is complete, then reopen the visit.

The visit is completed but the note is blank or incomplete

Check whether the transcript exists and whether the correct template was selected. If more audio exists, use Add Audio and then Regenerate Note. If the transcript is present but generation failed, contact support so the visit can be checked before you create a replacement.

The visit is missing from the list

  • Confirm the login email and sign-in method.

  • Return to the device that recorded the visit.

  • Do not uninstall, clear app data, or reset the app.

  • Check whether the mobile app still shows a recording or upload status.

Can it be recovered?

Support can check whether usable audio or transcript data reached Skriber, but recovery is not guaranteed. A duration shown in the visit list does not by itself prove that the final audio file uploaded.
