How to add additional audio to a note

Add more audio to an existing visit when important information was captured separately.

Use additional audio when you need to add more spoken information to an existing visit or note.

When to use it

  • You recorded part of the visit separately.

  • You need to add a short clarification after the encounter.

  • You dictated additional information that belongs in the same note.

Before adding audio

Make sure the additional audio belongs with the same visit and does not include unnecessary patient information from another encounter.

Steps

  1. Open the visit or note.

  2. Select the option to add additional audio.

  3. Record or upload the additional audio, depending on the available option.

  4. Wait for the audio to process.

  5. Regenerate or update the note if needed.

  6. Review the final note before copying it into your EHR.

If the additional audio does not appear

Keep Skriber open while the audio uploads and processes. If it still does not appear, contact support with the visit time, device used, and whether the app or browser was closed or interrupted.
