Retention, subscription cancellation, and account deletion are different actions. Choose the retention setting required by your organization and save chart information in the designated medical record.
Delete records after 30 days
Open Settings → Privacy.
Turn Delete records after 30 days on or off.
Use the setting required by the organization before relying on Skriber as temporary storage.
The Platform Terms state that when the 30-day option is selected, Your Data is deleted after 30 days, with backup-system retention for up to seven additional days under the retention policy.
Patient recordings
The Platform Terms also describe a choice to delete patient recordings immediately after processing or retain them under the selected data-retention setting. If the expected recording option is not visible in your account, contact support before changing the broader retention setting.
If 30-day deletion is off
The Platform Terms describe retention for the term of the agreement, subject to the selected recording setting, legal obligations, backups, and applicable policy.
Cancellation
Cancelling a subscription stops renewal and changes access on the displayed end date. It is not the same as selecting 30-day deletion or deleting the account. Copy or download notes the organization must retain before access ends.
Account deletion
Delete account is an irreversible action in Settings → My Account. The Privacy Policy notes that Skriber may retain certain information where there is a legal obligation or lawful basis.
Retention wording was verified against the production Privacy setting, Privacy Policy dated September 18, 2025, and Platform Terms dated October 9, 2024.
