Use a native Skriber mobile app on a phone or tablet. Use current Chrome on a desktop or laptop. Test the exact audio setup before a patient visit.
Recommended by device
iPhone or iPad: the official Skriber app; the current App Store listing requires iOS or iPadOS 17 or later.
Android phone or tablet: the official Skriber app from Google Play.
Windows, Mac, or Chromebook: app.skriber.com in a current version of Chrome.
Mobile browser: fallback only when the native app cannot be used.
In-person visit
Place the device where it can hear clinician and patient. Avoid covering the microphone. Check that the audio indicator moves before the encounter.
Video visit
Use an approved Zoom connection when available, speaker audio, or a second recording device. Headphones often prevent the patient's voice from reaching Skriber.
Telephone visit
Use speakerphone and record with a second device. Do not rely on a single phone to run the call and capture both sides unless that setup has been tested successfully.
Cross-device access
Record on mobile and review on desktop by signing in with the same email and sign-in method. Wait for the mobile upload to complete before closing or signing out.
