How to regenerate a note

Regenerate a note after changing templates, custom instructions, or note settings.

Regenerate recreates a generated note from the available visit content. Use it when you want the note rebuilt after a template or instruction change.

When to regenerate

  • Support updated your custom template.

  • You changed the template for the visit.

  • You changed custom instructions and want them applied.

  • The transcript exists but the note needs to be recreated.

  • You want to test a different format before copying the note to your EHR.

Before regenerating

Regeneration may replace the current generated version. Save any manual edits you need before regenerating.

Steps

  1. Open the visit or note.

  2. Confirm the correct template is selected.

  3. Confirm any custom instructions are correct.

  4. Select Regenerate.

  5. Review the new note before copying it into your EHR.

If regenerate does not work

Check whether the transcript is available. If the visit has recorded time but no transcript or note, contact support with the visit date/time, device used, and whether the app or browser was closed or interrupted.
