Use Skriber Assistant safely

Ask questions about a visit, summarize content, or reformat text while keeping clinical judgment in control.

Ask AI is now Skriber Assistant. You'll still find it in the Ask Skriber anything bar on your note. It works from the visit content available in Skriber. Review every answer before using it in a chart or patient communication.

How to use Skriber Assistant

  1. In the Skriber web app on a computer, open a visit and type in the Ask Skriber anything bar at the bottom of the note. On other pages, or on a phone browser, select the round Skriber Assistant button.

  2. Type a focused question or request, or pick a suggestion.

  3. If a request would change something, such as an edit to your note, Skriber Assistant shows the change first. Nothing changes until you confirm it.

  4. Compare the answer with the transcript, note, and source chart before using it.

Skriber Assistant can't change billing or your subscription; it points you to Skriber Support.

Useful requests

  • Summarize the key points discussed in this visit.

  • Was medication adherence discussed?

  • Rewrite the documented plan in patient-friendly language.

  • Shorten this assessment and plan without adding facts.

  • List details in this note that I should verify.

Clinical limits

Skriber Assistant may not have the complete chart, outside records, current medication list, allergies, labs, or context that was not captured in the visit. Do not use it alone for emergency triage, diagnosis, prescribing, interaction checks, or final clinical decisions.

Privacy

Use Skriber Assistant only for information that belongs in the Skriber documentation workflow. Do not paste patient information into support messages when troubleshooting the feature.

Still need help?

Open the support messenger in the bottom-right corner of this Help Center. Include the email on your Skriber account, the device and app or browser you used, a short description of what you see.

Do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, or unnecessary patient-identifying information.
